The label is the law. Federal law requires using a pesticide according to its label. Always read and follow the label on your own container. If anything here differs from your label, your label wins. Labels are revised, and products are sold under several names and registration numbers.

Label versions and dates. Each product page names the EPA-accepted label we used, its EPA Reg. No., the date EPA accepted that label version, and the date we last checked it, with a link to the label PDF. Labels can be updated over time, and the package on a store shelf or in your garage may carry an older or newer version than the one we checked. We recheck our pages against EPA's label records periodically. Even so, the label on the product you actually have is the one that controls, so please read it and follow it.

No product is described as "safe." Page titles use the words people search for, such as "pet safe" or "is it safe." Our answers report what the label requires and what cited sources say. A label re-entry rule is a legal minimum, not a guarantee of no risk.

Accuracy. We quote labels and sources as they were on the "last checked" date shown, and link them so you can verify. Labels, products, and sources change. We make no warranty that the information is complete, current, or error free, and we are not responsible for any loss or harm from relying on it instead of your product label or your veterinarian. Links to other sites are provided for reference; we do not control their content.

Trademarks. Product names are trademarks of their respective owners; this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Names are used only to identify the products discussed. No logos or product images are used.

Label quotes. Short quotations from EPA-accepted pesticide labels are reproduced for commentary and identification, with a link to the label in EPA's system.

Affiliate links. This site has no affiliate links at this time. If we add them, pages with affiliate links will say so next to the links (for Amazon: "As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases"), and earning a commission will not change what we report.
